Runescape Strength Guide

What Does Strength Do?

Strength is a very valuable skill used in Melee combat. The higher your Strength, the higher you will hit during combat. It’s for this reason that most PKers have a very high Strength compared to their other stats. There are also some pieces of equipment that require you to have a certain amount of Strength to wield.

Training Strength

By clicking on the Attack Styles icon (the one with the crossing swords), you’ll be able to choose between the different kinds of attacks you can use with your currently equipped weapon. To train your Strength, you’ll want to choose the “Aggressive” style from the menu.

Each time you inflict one damage point on your opponent, you’ll earn 4 Strength experience. You can also use the “Controlled” method of some weapons to train all of your melee skills (attack, defense and strength) and earn 1.3 experience to each.

Runescape Thieving Guide

One of the most fun Members skills in RuneScape is thieving, as you can find a great number of things to do with the skill. When you first start off you can only enjoy a small part of the countless bounties to be earned from your new-found forte, but as you get more skilled a wider range of things can be done with it.

There are several things that you can practice your thieving on as you get better, but remember that you need to be both stealthy and cautious. Each activity has a dangerous part to it, from a not-so-tough Man stunning you, to a Knight attacking you with full force.

Helpful Drinks

Every thief should start his (or her) day off with a frosty glass of Bandit’s Brew! This drink temporarily increases your Thieving level by 1 when you drink it, and you can buy one for 650gp at the Desert Bandit Camp.

Runescape Woodcutting Guide

Cutting trees is a simple task, but some trees fall easier than others. Any hatchet will work, but remember that the better the axe, the easier it will be to get wood. Now just click on the tree to chop it down.

If you chop a regular tree you will get 1 stack of logs, while others will give several stacks. If you keep missing the tree and can’t chop it down, just keep trying and eventually you will cut it down. The higher your level, the easier it will be to get logs.

As mentioned before, better hatchets will cut trees quicker than others. There are currently 8 different kinds of hatchets, each requiring a certain woodcutting level to use.

Woodcutting Axes
Picture Hatchet Woodcutting Level
Bronze 1
Iron 1
Steel 6
Black 6
Mithril 21
Adamant 31
Rune 41
Dragon 61

Machetes are mainly used to chop through the Jungle Brush on Karamja Island. There are no requirements to use these, but the types of brush you can cut will require you to have a specific Woodcutting level (those are included below).

Specializing In More Than One Skill

For role playing people, the need to carefully choose skills for specialization is important when playing games like Runescape. For online worlds, the profession to be chosen may be plenty. Ideally, most players would choose combat skills to start of their games, plainly because they would need to gather and save up money to survive. Gold or money is an essential part of survival. These are the means for consummating trades and purchases that are important for a person to fully appreciate games such as Runescape.

Some may need to find proper combination of skills to appreciate their in-game play. This is important especially for adventuring and special events every once in a while by players who continue to patronize the game. Like combining magic with long range combat makes a player untouchable, but once a player is able to get close to him, he may fall because he has no specific master of skill for up close combat.

There is also the possibility of combining some combat or magical skills with some merchant type of skills for personal protection against the usual monsters and player killers who roam the Runescape world. Whatever the choice may be, it such skills would be for the benefit and convenience of any Runescape player, skills which he thinks will be effective and beneficial in his style of game play. Game play is flexible and will vary for most people. But skills once chosen should be the essential instruments needed to be able to be a good player and survive properly in the online world.

There will of course be envy in the game with regards to the combination of skills. This is because it doesn’t follow that combination of good skills make a good player in any game. It also depends on the player controlling the character, something the most people tend to overlook. The effectiveness of a person as a player is the x-factor that will always be overlooked and this is apparent in most cases. This is what most people would refer to as skilled players or hard-core players who approach the game at a different level.

Each skill chosen to be mastered will be perfect at any point in the game. It all depends on the player and how he is able to put them to good use. Skills alone are worthless if their use is not understood and done in the right way to be a powerful player in the field. For players groping for form in the game, it is best to gather some study first regarding the skills and see which skills are truly worth mastering. After a thorough research, usually from Runescape sites as put up by Runescape addicts as well for some tips and techniques as well.

Runescape Clan Wars Glitch Spots

A look at the glitch spots in the Runescape mini game “Clan Wars”.

Clan Wars is a mini game where two different clan chats can battle each other. When a challenge has been accepted, both clans have 2 minutes to enter a portal which will take them to the battlegrounds. One clan will start on the north end while one starts on the south end. After you are dead, you will be able to keep watching the war from a viewing area. When a clan has no one left to fight, then the other clan wins. On the map there are some spots where someone can stand without being seen, these are called the “glitch spots”. Players standing in these spots cannot be seen on the playing screen, but can be seen as a dot on the mini map. So far I have only found two spots.

Glitch Spots
North-West spot- this spot is located in the NW corner of the map.

South rock spot- this spot is located in a bunch of rocks on the south half of the map.

I don’t know if the spots were put there on purpose or not, but I hope they don’t take if away. The spots are a fun part of the mini game where players can hide and surprise other players. Sometimes clan will use these spots strategically to win over the other clan.

I hope you learned something from this and maybe you can try it out some time! If you found this interesting, please tell your friends to read this article. Thank you!
